[ROM][JB][4.3][2013-12-29] CyanogenMod 10.2

Please tell me how can i cncel proximity sensor. İ want to use this rom but i make a call screen going black and newer coming back until other side end caling

Thanks for a great work with the kernel and CM, M1cha!

I have noticed the same behavior is tivac. As soon as I start phone call, the screen will go off. I tried to discover where it comes from and it's the proximity sensor.

I used app called "Proximity Sensor Finder" from Play. It shows 0cm distance always. If I put phone into very bright light the distance will show > 5 cm. So, it might be a calibration problem?

I have enabled TDB and installed Ivan's AOSP 4.4 on System2. Proximity sensor is working correctly with that ROM in any condition, so it's not a hardware problem either.

Could someone help with this problem?

The first screenshot is from CM10.2

and the second is from Ivan's AOSP 4.4.

@V-M: Please use the App "AndroSensor" to debug the sensor, because it shows raw data. And btw proximity has nothing to do with light.

My problem was about hardware, there is a one chip and two sensor on it proxy and light sensor. My proxy was broken or anything else.

Always showing zero and newer worked on any rom.

İf it is working status so i think you must calibrate it.

proximity should have two values only 0(near, activated) and 2(far, not activated)

I recorded two files with AndroSensor, first with CM and second with Ivan's 4.4. I waved my hand in front of the sensor multiple times to see the change. CM value stays zero, but in Ivan's 4.4 proximity value changes from zero to five (I guess AndroSensor is using centimeters).

Is there some other tests that I can do?

I noticed that, when I set the maximum power in the performance setting to 1242, with a touch on the lcd, the CPU easily go to 1242. Is this the correct behaviour? Why it uses so much power? Is that means if I leave the power setting to default, when I navigate by touching here end there, it uses Max power? What about the number of cores? Does android/CM handle this automatically based on the task?

...then I recently plugged in a charger (BlackBerry wall charger) and the phone didn't recognize that I plugged it in no matter what I did. So I rebooted again with charger plugged in and now it's working fine.

This was happening to me as well, i.e. it wouldn't charge unless I rebooted and if I unplugged the charger I would have to reboot again to get it to charge.

Today it is fine and charges. I will have to check all of the chargers that I use to make sure that it is OK on all of them. It's weird: I haven't flashed anything new onto the phone or done anything differently (that I'm aware of) and can't think of what might have changed.

Ho hum,

Noticed one thing more. After a reboot the proximity value is 5 cm. When I put hand in front of the sensor it changes to zero. But it never changes back to five.

you must remove screen prtoector and clean screen before test. Did you do?

Yep, the screen is clean and no screen protector used. Sensor is working fine with Ivan's 4.4 AOSP.
Also install android sensor box from market and click proximity theree is a menu at the left bottom click it and write here proximity sensor chip name. İls which is producer of sensor is stopped to produce this chip, there is a new products

Today at university I wasn't able to use the WIFI, first time I tried it with the 03.12.2013 rom, I was able to detect the network and connect (sign in) but then nothing happened. Did anything change what would explain this? At home wifi works perfectly fine. The network is 802.1x EAP secured.

For me wifi wont work after some time of use of deep sleep battery saver.. my wifi turns on ever 5 minutes for 1 minutes, than deep sleep shut down it, and again afte 5 minutes turns it on for 1 minute.. The problem is that after many times, wifi wont turn on, neither manually. I have to reboot the phone and than it works. Sorry for my bad english.
I am on the lastest build with rilj wakeloks fixed.

My Wi-Fi is also giving me some issues, different though. When phone is in sleep push messages aren't received instantly and can take a few minutes to receive. I have WiFi on always during sleep. Don't have this on other roms either.

I don't have and don't even know how to use Linux. And ApG, the patcher for Windows, doesn't work on 4.3+
