if you want to stay with 2.12.7, make sure you are running miuiandroid_m0_jb-2.12.7.zip, then flash ControlPanelSuite_miuiandroid_m0_jb-2.12.7.zip
if you want upgrade to 2.12.14, make sure you are running miuiandroid_m0_jb-2.12.14.zip, then flash Addons_miuiandroid_m0_jb-2.12.14.zip

i'd recommend to flash manually instead of through updater app.

installing of what? if you installed NoHomeButtonLag, then yes. there is no new options since it is only reduce button lag. Read the .txt file.
