Release MIUI ROM 2.3.23 ROMS [ICS] & [GB]

Hi all,

i'm very frustrated because cannot use my voip account over 3g connection on my SGS GT-I9000 I've downloaded APK-Tools & adb for modify a XML file bools.xml contained into /system/framework/framework-res.apk from MIUI 2.3.23 for create the patch, but i've a trouble.
When i recompile apk from disassembled original one, and re-push it into my phone, the voip it's ok over 3G for some minutes, but then MIUI system become instable and kill many started programs. If i reboot phone, the boot loop on miui logo and solution is reinstall original one framework-res.apk.
I can get some help from the developer? It's a very minimal correction but very important for me because make possible for my family speak to me at very cheap cost.

Hello guys,
Flashed miui 2.23 today.
Only serious problem is the sms bug..

However I need help on another matter. Is the external sdcard working properly? The first time I flashed the rom it was perfect. However when I did a factory reset, the sdcard looks empty.
I am asking you guys because I am not sure whether I accidentally erased the external sdcard. So not in a position to verify whether sdcard is working or not .
I can take pictures with camera pointed to external sdcard and see the picture in gallery and file explorer. Maybe I accidentally erased external sdcard. When I did a factory reset, I enabled erase all. I thought it would affect only the internal sdcard.

One more thing I have to say is the rom is super smooth. Scrolling is definitely better than CM9, atleast in my phone.

just replace it with 3rd party sms app. i'm installed chompsms & problem solved

I work on the Evo 4G port, and I'm having lots of problem porting current versions. I don't have the phone, so I can't quickly test my changes. So every fix I do ends up requiring an hour or more wait for a tester to test. Its becoming quite a burden to do.

@ iBotPeaches, is there someway I can help you since I have the phone and nothing but time ?

Just realized that I have no screen lock on SGS2.
Settings -> Security -> Screen lock is set to "None". If I try to change it I have only these options: Pattern, PIN and Password.. Selecting one of these options will activate the lock but I don't want to use any security features on it. I remember it worked on 2.3.16.
I also checked on Google Nexus 2.3.24 and Screen lock is set to "Slide".

Marxman, MIUI is always updated on friday.
The next release will be this friday and the version will be 2.3.30.
...so I'm waiting for some news/bugfixes/improvements of the .30
