everything is correctly shown, we even said which devices had ICS, process of elimination, one SGS2 file, therefore ICS

do a google search for "captivate weui" its a rom base on MiUi v4 2.3.16 for the captivate.

I'm not really anxious to try a rough build like that. I used the ICSSGS Ice Cream Sandwich build, which worked ok, but still had too many bugs. That one is found here:

It was cool for bragging rights to say I had ICS, but I ultimately went back to MIUI as there were too many annoying problems in the ICS builds I've tried.

It doesnt work? im on SGS2 and i downloaded on the device and ended up on the muiu boot logo loop,then i tried installing through ROM manager and that aborted installation even after clearing cache(S).

I've been having the same problem...
When you say fresh install, you mean just wiping the dalvik and cache and then applying the update?
If so I already did that and it stills the same. Infinite boot loop.

I came from GB and just tried to update using the OTA MIUI system.

Nevermind my previous post... I ended up performing a full wipe (including factory reset) and it worked.
I didn't want to have to reinstall all the apps, reconfigure enviroment and stuff, but...

Thanks for the hard work on the ROM guys! Love it to bits.

The only thing holding me back on installing ICS is that contacts phone number bug. I'll stick with GB for now until that hopefully gets fixed up next release.

It's a alpha/beta and can not be considered stable. I pretty good for me though but there are quite a few glitches here and there but nothing earth-shattering.

Look, If you format sd and do a full wipe flash ( just like what I did ) , you will get a very good and stable

No, but the THREAD it was posted in CLEARLY said which ROMS are for ICS and which are GB.
