MI Mix 2S Super Night Mode

Hey Guys,

Just saw now on china 8.11.8 changelog that our Mix 2S will have Super Night Mode in 8.11.8 update as presented on mix 3.
Hope we also get 960fps soon and mix 3's algorithm as they promissed.

Yep but that is simply night mode not super night mode...I have no idea why they call it super night mode just because on the device appeared as night mode only.

Anyway nice to see Mix 3 camera features on Mix 2S and Mi8

Me too but afaik 960fps technically not possible on Mix 2S because dedicated memory needed directly on camera sensor to save 960 image per sec as it is huge amount of data to write. More info here.

Mi MIX 2S and Mi 8 uses same sensor (Sony IMX363) on MIX 3 so there must be dedicated memory on them too right?

Yep those 3 devices use same camera module but Mix 2S doesn't have dedicated memory on camera sensor. So I doubt real 960fps slow motion is possible without it...only interpolated is possible...

I tried the new feature inside my house in a low light room. It works well. It just messes with exposure times and those things...
Anyone can do it with manual mode.
But this is easier because for example me, I don't have that knowledge about exposure times etc. Could be better but I kinda like it

960fps is an interpolation of 240fps... even on mix 3

Yep I have to agree the Night mode in latest *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* by BSG does the job significantly better than Night mode in MIUI...MIUI devs need to grow up to this level...
