Hello everyone,
In case someone still needs help with a working TWRP that can decrypt the partitions
I am on the stable 13.0.12 going to 13.0.13, tried with the twrp from twrp.me and it couldn't decrypt the partitions
The version that worked was the one from Android file host ( the other link in the ROM page ) , https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=321510

twrp-3.6.2_12-v5.6_A12-star-skkk.img is working for my mi11ultra

Good luck !

This really works for those 11 ultras having decrypting issues and patterns not appearing. After I have resolved the issue with the solution I posted, back again with twrp not showing my pattern after another update thus not decrypting my data.

I got this same *skkk.img in other Xiaomi community, tried and it works like a charm. I am supposed to share the good news but @xsander already posted it so I'll just promote the same and say that this seems to be the permanent solution.

Here's another download link - https://dl.akr-developers.com/?dir=skkk/TWRP/A12 which includes other models too.

The difference? the *skkk.img has this cool kid running and bears the Mi11Ultra name. The one in official TWRP doesn't. After this loads, it will prompt you the pattern and you can proceed with the update. :)

@Jaro1975p

It seems to me there are some garbage data lying around. Since it looks like you can't anymore recover the data in your phone and need to reinstall everything, I will do format data. That's just me. If still in doubt, wait for others suggestions here then follow what your heart tells you. :)

hm... xiaomi.eu is a custom rom community if you want to install xiaomi.eu rom then you have to install the version you like from xiaomi.eu

I dont know if I understood your question correctly....

What i meant is My system currently on stock or untouched CN ROM and it was updated to the latest 13.0.13 now i unlocked its bootloader to install TWRP and soon will flash to EU Rom since it has the latest patch/security. What E.U Rom updates should I replace from it? Can i also replace it with eu. Rom 13.0.13? Which has the same version. Thank youu Sir

Hi, you still offer TWRP 3.5.1 here, why not 3.6.2? I already found 3.6.2 for the star from the official TWRP site and it works fine:

Tried to flash TWRP sticking to installation advice in the first post and using the most recent twrp version for mi 11, after executing fastboot boot twrp.img and rebooting the phone the TWRP isn't on the device - still the chinese recovery. Any idea why?

Thanks for that helpful reply. I already had twrp installed before, but due to a ROM update it got removed.
Used as mentioned the latest version for venus - executed fast boot command (as written in the instructions). How long should it take to reboot into twrp recovery? since it does not reboot, at least not for about 5 minutes. after doing it manually the recovery isn't there ( I guess it shouldn't be there).

After entering the fastboot command, TWRP should boot up within a few seconds.
You can't manually run TWRP because you don't have it installed.

Does your PC see the phone in fastboot?
Enter the command:
fastboot devices

yes, I see the device and the fastboot boot command displays Sending ... and Booting - so basically the output like it would be successfully executed

That's useless.. Why don't you put the whole window here?

Enter the commands:
fastboot devices
fastboot boot twrp.img

-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------
show full CMD window

Do you have correctly named TWRP?
Did you enter the correct name of the TWRP file in the command? Why do you have ".\" in the twrp name command?

yes the file is named like this. "./" is marking the current directory, its added automatically because of autocompletion of the shell

EDIT: Found the issue - seems like the usb-c cable was the issue. Trying another one fixed it - thanks.

Don't worry. After flashing, you have to reboot to system and new ROM will start to work flawlessly. Error messages aren't relevant. I got these messages in my MI 11 Ultra, and rebooted to system without any problem.
