Settings -> Home Screen -> Hide app icons That's what I think you're after. As for the folders, think you're out of luck. The MIUI way seems to be to make use of the (custom), app categories instead of folders.

Dude, this is a very old thread. Why not enable the app drawer on your current launcher? The icons are all sorted alphabetically.

I just installed the IMG file via fastboot and it successfully decrypts user data without needing to format. Backup/restore and flashing ROMs will be the real test though.
