No, IPS displays will never have blacks like SAMOLEDs. It isn't technically possible. And display on Mi3 is better, it has higher PPI.

Android 4.3 is boring, as is 4.2.2.
It's only fixes for nexus devices (poor version of orange friday )
Maybe they include new APIs but next groundbreaking Android will be KitKat, so no need for 4.3.
And if 4.2.1 is stable enough, it's OK.

Yes, I think the best thing Xiaomi could do is to update to 4.3 directly, and then have a break until KitKat

Online retailers generally make 15%+
High street allot more

Xiaomi have I direct to consumer model. Most manufacturers sell to resellers via distribution. This means we are actually still seeing a saving on such a well specked phone. If they sell into europe or America you'd expect to see an increase in price.

If your lucky you'll also dodge some import tax.

Knowing your buying original xiaomi is also a value with all the fakes about.

They are doing it to make money. I don't think they are being greedy.

It's not the screen people are upset about, it's the case.

This could of been cramped into a way smaller case without compromising about screen size.

I really like the design. Yes it's diffrent and maybe big on some sides but still nice.

I am waiting for some more hands-on / unbox video's to see it better. (In Oktober there will be enough)

I'm unsure about this in a lot ways, especially because galaxy s4 plus MIUI might just end up doing a better job than this.

Both in terms of software (multi window) and hardware (exchangeable battery, micro sd card reader, case size, bigger batteries available, etc).

Well I think Ibuygou heard me. But instead of reducing the price they bumped it up lol. 32gb is now 510 & 16gb is 440.

The only other place I have bought from us fulcrumall and they are usually a bit cheaper than ibuygou..

Seems they are about the same for now.
