EDIT

Today, I have tested the new builds of Xiaomi.eu on Mi4, Mi5, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 3 Pro (kenzo).

And I have to say, Xiaomi.eu have come a long way...
The performance is much better, and a clear improvement can be seen when comparing it to the official ROM, as the Xiaomi.eu is faster and with smoother animations.

Congratulations on your hard work towards improving this ROM!

END EDIT

A while ago I posted this thread:
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-v6-weak-performance.27615/

As I had no feedback, and many users were complaining about the poor performance of this ROM on the Redmi 1S, I went and tested the original from Xiaomi servers.

And I got really surprised: the performance was very good!
As this ROM has no Portuguese, I went and flashed the ROM from the MIUI Forum of my country: MIUI Portugal.

And, for my even greater surprise, despite it being the first release of MIUI V6 for Redmi 1S (5.4.24), the performance was GREAT!
Great in a way I have never seen this device move around.

I am saying this to point out some issues I have seen many people complaining.
There is room for improvement here.

Cheers to all!
And thank you for your hard work.

Thank your for the feedback.

I believe in you.
But, as the phone is my girlfriend's, I will let the phone run as it is.
Because she is happy with the phone and risking putting the phone in a slow state is no option.

The heating problem and battery is because Xiaomi's MIUI team redefined the maximum CPU frequency to its announced value of 1,6GHz.
The value it runs smooth and has less of these two effects is 1,4GHz. Try even less, like 1,2GHz, and see if it suits you.

You can set this with root access on Tasker, No-frills CPU Control or other CPU app.

Well, we are now on 5.7.16...
Did you test adding Xcelerate kernel? It's awesome.
Some time has passed, and I now am on a newer version of MIUI V6.

But no, I will not flash Xiaomi.eu ROMs anytie soon.
I congratulate everyone here on Xiaomi.eu for their hard work!

But the performance of the ROM made from the community in my country is far more smooth.

Of course it's your choice, but the improvement is hughe (I can tell you)
Thank you for your feedback!

Maybe I will try it, but no promises.
As the phone is stable now, without any problem, and that is what I need :)
