This goes through Xiaomi servers and although the Chinese are very numerous, they do not validate the operation manually.
Sometimes the app does not display the authorization even though it has been granted, check if you can link your account in the options for DEV.
And you can have the authorization on another device that is not Xiaomi or Poco, with the app, it is the account that has the authorization.
