Hi all, just to check anyone of you having receiving the notification from apps like WhatsApp/telegram/outlook/Gmail and so on? It was running perfectly in miui 13 stable, now my phone behave like in China ROM which will auto kill these apps after certain of time then only when I manually open the apps, notification will only come in...

Me too, widgets not updating, Viber notifications only when app is open etc with MIUI 14 12s ultra, like in ChinaROM.
Hi guys. It's my first post, so big up to all people doing the impossible things on this page and within the soft! Just wanted to share my thoughts as I was having the same notification issues after the update to miui14 (currently using newest stable). Obviously did setup Autostart for all key apps and set 'No restrictions' in Battery saver usage for them first, but this did not help... Scanned the net for solutions and stumbled on the potential fix. It can be found in Special Permissions (search for it in main settings), open Unrestricted data - toggle the key apps you need live notifications from. I'm still testing this, but seems to finally work as it did in latest miui13.
Hey man, thanks for the info. I'm turning on some of the apps that unable to receive the notification as well. So far is working fine, but then will keep it monitor for sometime first.

I tried your method, it seemed to work initially.. something like gmail works partially, the notifications come but as soon as I unlock they disappear. other apps instead dead as usual.
the only solution seems to be turn off face unlock or go back to A12
Yeah, unfortunately I see now it's just partially better... Messenger at least seems to be on time, but the same notification can repeat itself after a while, weird. Thanks, I'll test with face unlock off now and then with key apps locked

for me they started on miui 13 A13
on miui 13 when it was android 12 no problem

Yeah, I figured as much. I am willing to do it, I have everything backed up more or less.
I just want to know if it will actually solve the issues I am having! - and the only way to know is to go ahead and try it
I'm having the same issue too. Even if the autostart setting is turned on, they don't really autostart (after phone restart)
I may have fixed it, but it has only been 2 days since I tried the following:
Reset the device to Miui 13 - had a lot of issues, I likely did something by not formatting first with TWRP. So I gave that up and re-installed MIUI 14 via Fastboot.
This time I set it up as a fresh install, did not restore from Google or from another device. 100% clean install. I also did not do Face Unlock.
So far, that along with setting the right apps to auto start and to turn off battery saver... I have not been having issues.
I have not had any apps not give me notifications so long as they were set to auto start, locked in memory, and turned off battery saver.
We'll see tomorrow when I go to work and tend to get a lot more emails and thus more opportunities for missed notifications.

yes, without face unlock and the right privacy settings unlimited data notifications work. by not setting unlimited data it seems like something is being lost. obviously without battery restrictions.
I hope xiaomi fix it
Alas, I did not fix it. I was hopeful, but the same issues are coming back. Hopefully this is something xiaomi improves with updates.

Xiaomi 12 S ultra, Miui 14.0.5.0 A13 - the problem with only Gmail. Other notifications works perfect but after update form 14.0.3.0 to 14.0.5.0 Gmail notification stopes coming.

I've the same issue for my 12s Ultra with MIUI 14 EU Stable,
I've discovered a solution which is either don't use Face Unlock function or enable face unlock but turn on both stay on lock screen and show notification after using face data.

I have the same problem! Whatsapp didn't recieve anything until i opend the app. The sender go only one check mark until i opened the app. The unrestricted data, solved that issue. But i don't get any notification untill i wake the phone. Just have to raise it and there are all my messages. But it will not alert me when the phone is asleep.
Turn off Face recognition, it seem to be only solution at this point of time.
That didn't fixed it for me. For some reason everything works now. Even with face recognition enabled. I just did a restart of the phone and everything worked. I tried a lot of things before the restart so i can't say for sure what fixed it.
