This is not due to the device or the ROM. The problem lies with Amazon. The Mi 11 Ultra is not yet certified for them. But it is the same with many other Xiaomi devices

That is not true, the issue IS WITH THE ROM, they use pixel 2 to identify our device to other apps, if you install the global ROM on the Chinese mi 11 Amazon prime will stream in HD, you can also creat an APK that identifies your mi 11 as a Samsung S10 and it will stream in HD.
The issue needs to be fixed by the devs as soon as posible.

As far as I know, the naming is part of Safetynet fix for a few months now, so I would not expect it to change short term.
