What's The Point Of Miui9

It's a genuine question, since MIUI8 seems absolutely fine on my MIMAX PRO running Xiaomi .eu
I really dislike the MIUI launcher and have used NOVA for many years. I'm new to MIUI though and wonder if 9 will actually bring any tangible benefits.

They seem to finally allow quick reply and bundled notifications on Android nougat. That's what I'm happy about.
