Upgrade From Stable To Stable....

Hi all, I'm Newbie here... please apologse me for the stupid answer....

I'm trying to update from xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_V8.2.4.0.MAGCNDL_v8-6.0.zip to xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_V8.5.2.0.MAGCNED_v8-6.0.zip but the phone refuse tu upgrade.

I've try to find some guide and nothing works.... I have alredy try to....

1- Copy the rom ZIP file to device and the try to update via Updater APP (clin on 3 dot, select the zip file ecc...) the app seems to work, but at the end, qhen I tap on Reboot, it simply do not reboot and nothing happen. If i Reboot manually, the phone simply reboot itself

1- I have try to apply the zip file viea TWRP, but it report me that the file is corrupt :O

I'm using last twrp 3.1.1-0 from witch I have installed the atual rom (8.5.2.0)...

Has someone a smart hint?

After various Try, finally it works!!!

the problem seems to be related with twrp. I have installed an older versione (the one linked in the update section of this forum) and TADA!! The upgrade app start working.

Hello guys,

Did any of you after upgrading to this stable xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_V8.5.2.0.MAGCNED_v8-6.0, experienced a fingerprint error when restarting the smartphone?

It appears again and again, at least 5 or 6 times and then it stops appearing ...!

But during that and after that the fingerprint works very well.

Yes, I download the zip file wit firefox, chrome, a download manager and with the phone (using chrome and wifi network), all the files was the same and for all files, the phone refuse ti upgrade, untill I change the twrp with the old one...

I haven't notice any problem with fingerprint or apps that stop working.

The meaning of the question was to understand if after trying with the Updater app and after the first failed attempt with TWRP, you have copied the zip to your device again.
So, did you copied it again or after flashing the old TWRP you flashed exactly that file?

Ah ok. No, After TWRP downgrade I have used the updater app with the same file that It was in the phone. I haven't redownload It.
