What is the procedure to update if I'm rooted? Flash original boot.img? Disable modules? Or just update with fastboot and the reroot?

before updating I suggest to disable all modules, sometimes it is possible that the update will end in a bootloop if you dont do it. you can then patch the boot.img again or if twrp is available for your device install magisk with twrp

no need to flash boot.img before update if you disable the modules. while updating a new boot.img will be flashed.
