Unlocking China Unicom 3G version of mi4

I recently bought Xiaomi mi4 in Pakistan (not officially available), I was having issues installing MIUI v6 version and rooting it only to find that its a China Unicom 3G version of mi4. The problems I have:
1) It does not have MIUI recovery
2) No menu in updater to load a new ROM. Everytime I try to load a ROM the android recovery gives be an errror: "Error: not a valid OTA package, missing scatter."
3) Just 1 GB for apps in internal storage.

Is there anyway to unlock the device so that I can install a dev version of MIUI?

If you don't have the MiRecovery you may have a fake Mi4.
Have you got a code to check authenticity at the back of the phone packet?

Definitely sounds like a fake Mi4, where did you buy it from?

Scatter?? This is MTK s**t and not Mi4. You can put your beer on it or throw to a dog.
