It's really not that big a deal. The one we have works fine, it just won't back up your data partition, and there are plenty of alternatives for that.

Yes, but usually ota r released later after manually download, so I prefer download manually from site n chose the zip from updater

You need it for a lot of other things too, like installing things.
And there is no good alternative to a TWRP backup.

Hmmm tricky twrp... it continues asking for decription password whenever I open it to flash something, even though I formatted data multiple times. Should I change format to ext4?
edit additional details:
Received phone last week and unlocked BL this weekend. after unlock flashed latest EU stable, no magisk or anything else yet since the decription password worries me. Everytime I boot into TWRP it is decrypting data which keeps me away from flashing anything else now. Even more worried about OTA's.
edit 2:
I found the remove DM verity and remove force encrypt bit in this TWRP.... brrrr. Should I do both ??
Never seen this in TWRP or any other custom Recovery (and I have been around for a while fooling with phones and flashing). Flashing Lazyflasher also not working.

How did you flash the dm verity? because when I do that it always give me ERROR 1 for the ramdisk. can you gimme some instructions or link where can I download it? Im using dm-verity version 6.0 but no luck on getting that one flashed.
Maybe somebody has ideas how backup /data in this TWRP on xiaomi.eu. I would like to try another ROMs, but I really don't want to restore all apps with mi-backup or titanium...

I didn't... it was not working, there is however an option in the TWRP build we are using that looks like it would do the trick. I don't have the guts to try it with this TWRP :-D

Nope, only a swipe when start like in "normal" twrp, then is the same s**t...no backup, don't decrypt automatically...n i noticed also that start 2/3 times on mi screen before to start the rom...i was scared went in bootloop first time...but do it everytime
