New System Navigation setting is not responding (Mi Mix 2S, 12.5.1)

Hey.
I found some threads in the forum talking about system navigation not accessible when using a non-default launcher.
I installed Xiaomi.eu yesterday and never had a custom launcher.
I see the System Navigation setting but nothing happens when I click on it.

ROM: xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMix2S_V12.5.1.0.QDGCNXM_v12-10
Fresh install from yesterday (had original MIUI, locked beforehand)

Hello,

Did you try to reboot your device?

Did you restore " Settings " from a cloud backup during first configuration wizard? (It's recommended to avoid to do that.)

You can also try to update the MIUI Launcher by installing this zip in your custom recovery (TWRP/OrangeFox/etc.): TWRP_MIUI_Launcher_Xiaomi.eu_4.21.18.3208_Installation.zip

Yeah tried a few reboots, didn't help

I didn't restore any settings, clean install without any restores, not even apps.

What is this launcher you sent me? Is the problem in the launcher itself or in the os?

I'm not certain that your issue is related to the MIUI Launcher (stock launcher) but updating it will not hurt.

You can also create a ADB logcat, it gives useful info:

# connect phone with PC and USB
# set USB debug - on
# create a textfile -> eg logfile.txt in adb folder on PC
# adb logcat > logfile.txt
# make actions on phone and wait for issue
# ctrl+c (to stop logfile recording)
# analyze the logfile
# send the last eg 5 seconds, the relevant entries

You should be able to access it through Settings -> Additional settings -> Full screen display.
This is only an issue with older Android 10 devices.
