I would like to switch / try out the official Xiaomi MIUI Global Rom (and see if my issues are fixed). I currently own Chinese Mi 11 Ultra with Xiaomi.EU MIUI 13 v21.1.13.

I would like to know if :
- Is it possible to make a FULL backup of my current Xiaomi.EU ROM with all data and everything else? TWRP recovery is still not available AFAIK, otherwise it would be easy.
- Will I have issues downgrading to Xiaomi MIUI EEA Rom V12.5.11.0.RKAEUXM using Xiaomi's official guide? I know I need to "Xiaomi Flash seems to lock the bootloader, so uncheck the option before flashing a Global ROM (again, it would brick the phone !)"
-
After downgrading to EEA ROM, will I be able to simply restore the backup from above? Or will I need to do something special?
- I have root and have up-to-data backups of all my apps in the cloud using Swift Backup. But it's not the same as having full backup.

Reasons for switching back (Don't need to read this):

Eventhough I like majority of Xiaomi.EU ROM, I am constantly having issues with Android Auto (Wired and Wireless) and have had the issues for months. It seems like the issues are affecting a lot of Mi 11 Ultra users and there is no solution. Specifically:
- Android Wireless keeps disconnecting. Seemes like the phone either keeps killing the WiFi for a split second when the phone changes cellular data or just keeps putting Android Auto to sleep. The issue has been reported multiple times by many users but there is no solution.
- Wired Android Auto just doesnt work. The phone keeps popping up with use cable for changing / Data Transfer (Android Auto) popup repeatedly and non-stop.
- Additionally I have issues with apps not picking up any sound from the microphone, often happens with voice messages.
- Phone refusing to switch on Mobile Data eventhough I have full signal. Only a reboot helps.

The issue is 100% with my device/MIUI as the stereo in my car was tested with a number of different phones including Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G running official EEA rom without any issues. I tried multiple wipes and fresh installs of Xiaomi EU but always getting same issues.

I recommend you first to try the stable Xiaomi.EU rom first, as you said you use 21.1.13 which is a weekly ROM and has bugs here and there..
This is the latest stable rom
Extract it, backup the things you need from your phone and run the windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat

The stable ROM has the same Android Auto issues. I need to downgrade all the way back to 21.10.22 weekly or 12.5.11/12 stable to sort it out AFAIK. MIUI13 stable definitely has the issues I have mentioned, experienced it first hand via personal testing.

I prefer to go back to Xiaomi Global ROM and make sure that with that version everything works OK.

oh that sucks :/ sorry to hear that..
It should be possible to go back :) sadly there isnt a way to make a full backup like TWRP offers, one option would be using Swift Backup as you said and also doing a backup with Xiaomi Cloud, so you can restore some of the settings and Apps :)

Hello there,

We had some similar issues regarding wifi usage. You can check it out my post.

Make sure you have this requirements below when going back to stock/official MIUI ROM:

> Unlock bootloader
> Any version from 2018-2021 official MiFlash (2018 version works mine on my Ryzen system unit, other version failed to detect fastboot)
> Any official ROM (Mine revert back to Android 11 official ROM)

Only on Android 11 stable and official ROM that Wi-Fi is working well without any issues.
Android 12 (based on official stock, Xiaomi.eu ROM Stable /weekly) ruined my Wifi modem and unstable connection.
I have done my part of finding any solution base on my thread post.
