Stock Jellybean 4.1.1 on xiaomi M2/2S (Latest is QDT14 with Changelog)

The multilang part would not be too difficult but JDT07 has this strange artefact issue mentioned earlier so I tried something else yesterday:

QCS99 multilang framework/other needed files combined with the JDT07 base to get over the touchscreen-firmware update issue - running this since yesterday and it works without an issue - and without the artifact bug (which might be caused by someting in JDT07-/system/lib as the bug occured while doing other tests using e.g. only QCS99-system/app/* and -system//framework/*).

Doing a general quick DIFF for JDT07 and QCS99 most changes seem to be in the base files like kernel, initscripts,... assuming framework and /system/app/* did not receive any changes but have been just recompiled (every single one of the files has changed according to DIFF). No visual changes except the artifact bug have been reported.

Right now I have a complete and working update.zip (244,8Mb) with
- JDT07 kernel/modules, init stuff, modem,...
- QCS99 /system/app/*, /system/framework and /system/lib (without touching the kernel modules)
- multilang, white default notification led, centered lockscreen clock, Roboto Clock font,
- PlayStore (old version) and Talk.apk
- 4.2 swipe-capable keyboard, CMFileManager, Superuser/su...
- EU gps.conf
- NO artefact bug

As this is too big to upload (have some crappy network from time to time) I'm currently preparing a smaller update.zip containing only the changed files, ~135Mb right now, still untested.

If anyone can reccommend a suitable server I'd appreciate it, using dev-host (as for the old modification zips) takes me a lot of time and a lot of upload restarts because of dropped connections (or kids shutting down my Thinkpad while uploading, grrrr :) ).

Hm, I can see the following screenshots in Tapatalk but not with Chrome@laptop, strange...

Is there a changelog for this release?
And also; could anyone give a comparison in battery life between V5 and these stock Roms?

I can't say about latest V5 but from 3.3.29 i can say that stock is WAY better battery life.

I'm downloading QDT10 right now. Will try it and report

Sounds really influential.
For messaging do you just use the stock app? I'm also wondering if someone has ported the MIUI or LennoxOS sms app and maybe some others.

I use all go apps. Go launcher go sms go contacts/dialer. I just installed 3.4.12 to test battery life in comparison

How are they going for you? Was never really a fan at first but haven't really gone further than testing the range out.

Also gonna miss coloured emoji if I go back to stock! :p
Decisions decisions!

it is a big choice/change. So far no issues with go apps. I'm thinking i'm going back to MIUI tho(battery life might stop me) I miss the better camera xiaomi account and few other things.

You're definitely not wrong there, I've switched back and forth numerous times pretty much until v5 came out.

I guess the only thing keeping me on v5 for now is the interface, it's just great. But there are some things I have noticed which do not function as to normal (one example is instagram, using the Lux feature prior to uploading a photo completely saturates the image in a green aliasing which ruins the photo.)
But yes, really big decisions between the two ROMs! If only the kernel was open source.. :p

edit:
I've ended up switching back to v5. So many features that were lacked which I hadn't even realized the amount of!

Speed wise stock is awesome though. :)
Guess I'll have to make some sacrifices of battery life!

Installed QDT10. I think it's a lot smoother, maybe you can tell me more.
There's the one-pixel bug like QDT07, so I think that we need your help, @mialwe.

I think you will get a bootloop. Maybe you can try to change only the framework.apk

This is an update to QDT10, NOT a full ROM, it has to be installed on top of QDT10. Tested install via recovery only.

Changes: Multilanguage (based on Maguro JRO03C 4.1.1), LED notification color defaults to neutral white, PlayStore/Talk/GoogleTTS, Android 4.2 keyboard (swipe option), Superuser/su, Busybox-symlinks, EU-gps.conf, CM10.1 filemanager, hidden statusbar-carrier/notificationarea-toggles (swipe right-to-left in notification area to see toggles), removed MIUI-apps and old Android music app, zipaligned system/app/*.

Things i miss most in stock android for mi2:
- stock miui camera
- status bar toggles editing
- battery % in status bar
- auto receive mms even with data off!!

These things are the reason i'm not using it. Otherwise the rom is great.
Could someone get a fix for that?

What I miss most on it is the miuiandroid music player.

Even with your pack there is the one-pixel bug in the status bar, how can i solve it?
