Thanks for that - and to the others who helped. I found DoomSlayers solution - unfortunately it involves a PC and not a Mac...........
 
Just installed the latest stable 8.1.5.0 for the Max Pro/Prime. Dirty flash as usual, only whiped Dalvik/cache, so far so good.

This is the changelog (I can't find it anywhere else, so I post it here)

Edit: Forget it, removed the image, the change log was not updated. I will update the post when it is available! All I can say is that I don't notice any changes from 8.1.5.0.

Yes, you always look root. But you flash SuperSU in TWRP after you flash the ROM.

That said, I don't root my device. I have some apps that don't allow rooted devices.

I'm only running the stable versions. So I'm waiting. That said, I don't think Nougat will bring anything significant. I prefer the excellent stability of the stable versions.

By the way.... Does someone have the same problem as i have:
I cant switch from wifi to 3g without rebooting the phone. Other way around does function normally.

So far everything working great! I have not found a single bug, it seems rock solid. After many years using Samsung Notes and the S7 Edge as the latest, this has been a joy! The performance of the Max has been above and beyond expectations, all at a fraction of the cost of the Samsungs.

Thanks to everyone contributing to this great ROM, keep up the great work!

The info is on the weekly downloads, like this (not sure why you would bother if you're not confident):
How to update to Android 7.0 from Android 6.0:
- Install LATEST Android 6.0 release for MI5 6.11.10
- Install TWRP 3.0.2.3 or ZCX
- Reboot to new TWRP
- Install Android 7.0 release
- Reboot - Never wipe /system partition manually!
- Done
- In case of any issues, make factory reset via system settings
- For ROOT on Android 7.0 installSuperSU 2.79

Only significant change I can see is that Google backup is now working.
