Root and TWRP

I'm gonna plan to flash the upcoming 2.0 eu once it gets supported on my device, but a question, if I flash a eu rom, will it overwrite my custom recovery (twrp) and remove my root access?

like after flashing the rom, will the twrp recovery need to be reflashed again via fastboot and need to flash magisk via twrp?
