[ROM][Official][4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11.0 Nightlies for the Xiaomi MI2 (aries)

using the cm updater isn't enough?
should be enough.. but i think it does not hurt. ;)

i have a galaxy nexus with cm11, when i use the cm updater there, it does everything automatic, even dalvik wipe. (i think you can see it when android is optimizing the apps during boot)
on the other hand (mi2) with cwm i can use the updater and it boots in CWM and let me decide which sys i want to update (somehow clear because of tdb), then it automatic installs the rom but stays in CWM and does not reboot.
In the end it doesn't hurt if i then press manually wipe cache&dalvik, even if it is already done by the automatic routine.

whatever, worst case it that it is buggy and you have to manually wipe cache and dalvik later, would be also not a big deal.

When cwm recovery get aosp commands to run at boot it automatically wipes dalvik and cache, so you don't need to wipe them again after the auto flash. I'll add a few other FAQs

Please check your Model Number in the next nightly's because I added a mi2s detection.
it should show "MI 2" or "MI 2S". check if it's correct. If it'll show "MI 2?" there are more SoC's than we know about.

Firstly: you're great, cm works like a charm, and battery life is great (sadly, i think xiaomi services drain a lot of battery)

But i wuold like to ask you, probably you know more than a lot of people out there. So, there are some differences between mi2 and mi2s: the most important is the different cpu (spapdragon s4 pro vs. snapdragon 600); than it comes the camera (only in mi2s 32gb model), which is completly different from the 8MP from mi2 model (either the vendor is different, it's made by sony if i'm not wrong). The boring thinng is the missing driver for this model (a camera which should perform better, without right drivers made worse photos).

as previously said, there is a different cpu. So, i would like to know, the snapdragon 600 is just a s4 pro clocked at higher frequency or is somehow different? Are there different drivers too? Are those drivers included? Or my phone is not "used" at 100% of its capabilities (mi2s)?

Sorry for the looooong question, but it was something that i was thinking about (since the day i noticed that mi2 and mi2s has the same installation package, either for miui)

Thank you!

They're mostly the same. just a higher cpu speed and a more efficient architecture.
The different cameras are not SoC related xiaomi ships whichever cam they currently have.

Apparently I've got a MI 2 instead of MI 2S :( (I've bought a mi2s...). Also attached in the SET CPU device info, maybe that'll give you an idea of which SoC my model has.

Is it now 100% certain I have a MI 2 instead of a MI 2S?

Still, the June 18th nightly will be the first one which can detect your phone model.
All CM builds until now don't care about your phone and do always show "MI 2"

Check with CPUz

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but these are the right specifications for the Mi2S right?

Thanks for the info (and all the hours put into CM11!).

I've got a weird problem with CM11 (latest nightly currently available). When my screen is off/locked, I can't turn it on again. The button on the side (below volume down) doesn't turn on the screen. I can hear messages arriving and music still plays, so Android is still running. T

Any ideas? I'm using CPU tuner to switch governor to conservative (384-594MHz) and Ondemand (384-1728MHz) when screen is on. I've tried Set CPU also, and disabling CPU trotteling altogether, but that doesn't fix my problem.

Try setting as min a number higher than 400
