[rom][cm12.1] Last Hope Rom - Best Rom Ever? ;)

"parted" and "df" are different commands with a different output.

  1. Download "parted" binary from here: http://ge.tt/7HIt5YV2/v/0 and place it to your sdcard root directory.
  2. Open terminal, become root ("$ su -").
  3. Mount /system read-write ("# mount -o remount,rw /system")
  4. Copy the parted binary to /system/xbin ("# cp /sdcard/parted /system/xbin/parted")
  5. Change permissions to allow exec ("# chmod 0755 /system/xbin/parted")
  6. Mount /system read-only again ("# mount -o remount,ro /system")
  7. Print the partition details to a file ("# parted /dev/block/mmcblk0 print > /sdcard/mmcblk0.txt")
  8. Copy and paste the contents of mmcblk0.txt file from your sdcard here at forum.
PS. On next ROM update, the parted binary will be wiped from /system/xbin, so keep a copy on your sdcard if you ever will need it.

Who is the developer of this? Based on Micha or Ivan source? How is performing against bugers one?
His ID is 韦伟宏 , maybe we can call him bywwh ( his git username)
I only know that it uses is developed by IVAN's 3.4.110 kernel .
I still using old partition layout , just merged system , so mybe I can tell you later.

The 2 flashable zip files shared by the user with very long name will not be able to create the above layout. They are equivalent to Micha's unified single and dual system.

I've got delayed notifications on wifi (not in hsdpa) like old Ivan's builds, and I cannot go back since I have the latest partition layout.
Whatsapp with my fiancée is crucial so I'm on smiui until it gets fixed.
a coffee for you bugers :)
Rc3 has this bug?
In this case I'll wait rc4

Hello,

is it safe to flash RC3 over RC2? (Because on page is written, that RC3 is for new MIUI layout).

P.s.:
When I flashed RC2 over RC1, gapps disappeared - I had to flash gapps again, than contacts was without images (delete contact storage data and sync helped), calendar settings was demaged and my saved wifi network was removed. - Just letting you know :)

For rc3 is required new partition layout. Flash over rc2 isn't possible

With the RC3 i got the famous flashlight bug. -.-
Its possible to turn the flashlight on but to turn it off its necessary to restart the or shut off the phone ..

But its just a small issue, all in all great work bugers!

Hi Bugers
THX for your hard work your Rom works pretty good on my mi2
Just a question i upgradet from your rc1 to your rc3. Within rc1 you included a modified kernel with undervolting and some more features but in rc3 it looks like the basic one.

In addition to the flashlight its also not possible for me to encrypt my phone.

Does anyone know if this is a general problem of LP for our phone or does it depent to this rom only?
When i start it the encryption screen shows up, but after several seconds it aborts and restarts.

I got a similar behaviour on RC2 with Skype : no new messages were received even that Skype's persistent notification showed that it is connected. Only when put to the foreground, Skype eventually received the messages.
Wiping apps cache and data did not help.
I had to uninstall and install again from the Playstore (few times actually) and all of sudden it started working again.
P. S. On my other phone, I had no such problem.

Hello,

purely technically, you can do a nandroid backup of RC2, update the partition layout (effectively losing all the data), restore system and data from the nandroid backup (but not boot up), and eventually flash RC3 update.
However Bugers does not recommend updating due to difficulties with reporting bugs - the bug has to be always tested on a clean install.
P.s.:
When I flashed RC2 over RC1, gapps disappeared - I had to flash gapps again...
Read the changelog. It is okay in RC3.

How is this rom compared to Mokee 5.1 rom?
Any experience with both roms?

From what people are saying this rom is pretty stable, great job!

Now I can anwser your third questoin . I take a whole day to flash the MIUI 5.11.20 , merged
partition , because I got some problem , mybe it's because I merged system by myself , but I sovled it finally .

After use bugers one 24h , I can tell both bugers and bywwh is almost stable , but have few problem , some doesn't effect call , send message , surf internet ,etc . So far I just find flashlight have some kind of delay but bywwh's not .And the charging led is always on and can't change it .

I saw someone got prolem with camera ,and I hear some developer says that bacuse the source of camera does't match the media's , the ivan's 3.4.110 kenerl can solve that , mybe it's also can solve bugers camera .

I have flashed this script: aries_core_unified_sinle

Does this rom works with this partition layout?

Thanks

No. Go on xda and use the new aries single xiaomi from Micha, or use mi flash to flash 6.1.7 fastboot edition
