Hello I can't change the ringtones in the latest Xiaomi EU hyperOS update (1.0.17.0) and I think it was no longer possible since 1.0.15.

As a temporary solution: install ES File Explorer, play the music in the explorer's player, and in the player's menu (three dots at the top right), set it as a ringtone/alarm/notification.
