Region change issue

I just bought a MI8 SE with a global ROM but wasn't asked during set up to enter my location and also in the advanced settings the tap 'region' is missing. However, if I search for region in the options I can find it, but it is fixed on China (system). How can I change that otherwise? It gives me a lot of problems with Network security at work and online banking !!!!!!! Is there an option where I wont lose my warranty ?

I am also having problems with the lack of option to change the region, in my case I can not see the themes available to other locales, I am using version 8.9.20

There is no Global ROM for mi 8 SE so you probably have a fake Global ROM or the Chinese ROM...Not possible to change region. Check your version in All specs and Google which one you have.
