Redmi 4 - Please Help Me Pick The Rom

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to this so please forgive naive questions. And can't post links on this forum yet - what year is this? 1950??

I've ordered basic Redmi 4 (NOT "PRO") phone from Gearbest - and folks at miui . com suggested that I should use custom ROM from xiaomi . eu (as currently most stable).

So I'm looking for a ROM to download, and ROM Downloads page linked in the header of this forum says that my device needs ROM "prada / HM 4".

On downloads page however I couldn't find HM4 - only HM4PRO zip

2 questions:

1 - would this ROM work for my device with no issues? (i.e. I didn't think my model is "Pro" or whatever...)

2 - on the ROM listing page it says Redmi 4 comes with bootloader LOCKED, however Gearbest said they come UNLOCKED. How do I safely check if it's locked, and if I need to take extra steps to unlock?

2218 and 2966 are thé roms for you. The others are the redmi 4a and redmi 4 pro roms

Please i need a second opinion for my phone and the right rom, my phone is defintely the prime version with 3 gb ram, prime and pro are the same, should i not download the xiaomi.eu_multi_HM4Pro_V8.1.3.0.MBECNDI_v8-6.0.zip instead of the xiaomi.eu_multi_HM4_V8.1.4.0.MCECNDI_v8-6.0.zip.

I can not risk any faulty rom cause warranty will be lost after flashing so i must do it all right.
