Redmi 1S (Armani) questions

Hello,

I have received my new Redmi 1S today. I need a few days for proper impressins, however, I need some help here.

It appears it comes with some sort of Miui own recovery. It doesn't allow me to flash Multilanguage ROM as if it was TWRP or CWM.
Further more, trying to click the Systems update, it closes immediately. Not sure if it's a bug or something is wrong with my Redmi.

So, is there a way to flash a new ROM ? Maybe a new recovery ?
Is there a guide for using MiFlash ?

go to Updater - Menu - Select installation zip - select our multilang - OK - DONE...

Right. The thing is - there is no Updater.
I'm not sure why and what did the seller do, but there is no such application.
I checked the IMEI/Serial combination on Xiaomi website. It is an original Redmi 1S

then install stock Chinese ROM via MiFlash http://bigota.d.miui.com/JHCCNBD23.0/armani_images_JHCCNBD23.0_4.3_340628b41f.tgz

or rename ROM zip to updater.zip and install via MiRecovery (if its still there)...

Battery life is terrible !
It cannot last a day. Its 29% now (16:55) from 100% in the morning.

My MTK-based Hongmi easily lasted for 2 days. This one is not even close.

Either the device has a problem, or the Qualcomm CPU sucks big time !

i have the Redmi 1s since 2 days flashed with ROM MIUI 24 Stable
and i have an ABNORMAL issues
i can't know if it's a software or hardware trouble !!

- the phone stop communication during a call after few minutes
i need to recall every time

- i am getting some error of no network , but it is OK with my Mi2

i am using the same SIM card "3G" of mi Mi2
in the slot WCDMA

Data connection is OK, i get internet acces in H+

Do you have the same trouble ?

I have rr mtk and handsfree system in both my cars and Bt always worked with any room...

Yes, on moderate use it lasts barely a day. When I say average use, 30 mins gaming, 2 hours browsing, 2 hours call. that's pretty much it. Not sure if its a software issue, but would be nice if the MIUI team can help
