(REALLY IMPORTANT) Hidden Album Gone/ Vanished on Xiaomi

Hello everyone,
first time using the forum, not sure if this is the place to post this.
I made an album of pictures of a really important conversation and had to hide it with the "Xiaomi's gallery hidden album feature". But then you have to turn on your Sync in order to hide an album. So I Sync it and Hide the Album. I noticed that the gallery is trying to load the pictures so I waited 5 minutes and I have to checked my hidden album and its all gone.
Please help those files are very important to me.

OK. You are not using a custom ROM from xiaomi.eu but Global EEA.
If the Gallery app is not linked to a MiCloud on your device, the "private album" will not work for you.
It is probably already tied to Google.
I hope I understood your problem correctly.

Is there i way i can recover the pictures I had there before the sync? Its quite important. Thanks

@untalgarcia you are not using this custom ROM here hence it isn't a bug by Xiaomi.eu. Please address your issue to offical Xiaomi forum c.mi.com

Check "pictures/gallery/owner" folder

I think I found them!
Thru Internal shared storage> .vault> backup> photo_encrypt
But they are encrypted any idea on how to proceed?

I found a solution, for context I have a xiaomi 12 lite and when I made a hidden album it made me put in a passcode pattern then briefly showed something mentioning needing to sync the files and then boom all my 150 pictures I added to the hidden album were freaking gone I was so pissed and couldn't find them anywhere and was panicking for like 2 hrs. But when I uninstalled the updates on gallery all my pictures showed up again gradually. Here's the video that helped me. I'm not sure if you still need help but if not then hopefully this can help others in need.
