Try to enlarge microphone hole in cover (near usb) and check if hole inside the cover need to be cleaned.

As I said it is not a poor voice quality. It is either on or totally off (silence). The mic hole looks fine. I just installed the 3.2.8 radio and it seems it helped and also the clarity of the call is way better. I will do further testing...

s**t so it looks my joy was premature I had a few successfull calls without problems but then it started again The dialing beep tone sometimes does not sound and that is a sign that the call will be silent as well. I really don't know what to think, it is much better then the few days before I did this reinstall though... Is there a way to check which radio version is active in my phone to be sure it did not get somehow overwritten or something? Do you think it is worth trying other versions?

Tutorial
1. If you don't have flash clockworkmod recovery from this tread http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/2013-03-09-clockworkmod-recovery.19686/ (i think work with updater but i didn't try)
2. Choice and download the radio and put in the internal storage
3. Select with volume key "install zip from sd card" and after "choose zip from sd card"
4. Select the zip and flash in system 1 (if the radio don't change flash the same zip in the system 2. I only have system 1 and haven't these problem)
5. Reboot and you have the new radio

So my phone seems to work again. For like 3 weeks I am able to make phone calls normally. Really strange... I hope it will last. I am afraid to do any OTA updates though :-]

Hello
My wife seems to be having an issue with her phone. She is not getting calls or sms.
She can use the phone to call and she can also send sms.
Could this be radio related and what radio would be the best to flash?
She gets the automatic updates on the phone and it seems to have just happened after this last update.
The problem is that I am in China and trying to help her through it by skype and phone. lol
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
