[Q] This device is locked

Just wanted to ask if there is a way for me to completely get rid of this locking/activation mechanism

I usually get the 'This device is locked?' when flashing a new Rom after data wipe.

It says it's because of the Mi Account association but is it because of the 'Find My Phone' feature ? Do I need to decativate it in order to get rid of this activation procedure ?

I have the login details so not an issue but would like to get rid of this if possible.

If you log in to the Mi account on the device, cancel "find device". After that, the password will no longer be required after the factory reset.
