Planning to Upgrade into MIUI 13

Hellp guys I'm not that techy person so I your help. I'm planning to update my MIUI 12.6
(21.12.8) to weekly MIUI 13. Is it okay to install it without wiping my data? I will just download the update package of the MIUI 13 and install it via FASBOOT?
