I will try anyway, but does somebody know if could work on a Mi-1S? (I'm asking because as you know, it has ICS yet...). Thanks!

Update: the app starts, Photosphere mode starts. But when you try to shot a sphere, the "aiming" dot moves up and down (weird), and if you are able to aim to that point (not so easy, since it's moving randomly) the first shot is taken but nothing more happen. It just still stuck on this state, not sowing a second aiming point or so... The app doesn't crash, it just remains at that state until you press back, home or the lock button. Any ideas?

as its a photo sphere so the dots are supposed to be appear up and down but not sure about ICS support as i tested it only for the Mi2. try it again after restarting !

Searching the web I found out in order to use PhotoSphere, the phone needs to have a gyroscope. I think the 1S doesn't have it :/

Hi, thanks for your precious job and excuse my bad English (I'm writing from Italy). I have a question on Photosphere installation. I copied and replaced the existing files in the system folders; then chanced the permissions and robooted the phone. But nothing happened. I have the old camera and no trace of photosphere. Thanks in advance.

what rom are you using ? miuiandroid ROM or xiaomi chinese ROM? and on what phone ? because you said it replaces some files but it should not replace any files!!!! atleast not on xiaomi 2 !

Xiaomi mi-2
Android version 4.1.1
MIUI version 2.12.28
Then it should work. Now you should have two cameras, one old mi camera and other with photo sphere! Both have same application name and also two galleries!
I don't know why you have only one camera.

Hi hadron, "no problem" solved. Yes, because it was a "no problem". I just explain it in case someone else has the same trouble.
I use NovaLauncher, so I put a shortcut of the camera on the home screen and hidden its icon in the drawer. When I disclosed it again I apllied your procedure it worked perfectly. Now I've got two cameras and two galleries.
Thanks a lot again for your time. (I hope my English was enough to be understood!!!)

Thanks a lot for your easy to follw instructions :)
I have my Mi2 about a week now and I love it!

Thanks
working great.
can the *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* have different folder for storing images?
so i could use the regular gallery and distinct those taken with miui and those taken with google,
as its just for photosphere, and the rest i'd use the miui one

ok, it does work, but ..

when I stop the creation of the photosphere, I don't see the progressive bar that indicate the assembly of the shots

and, if I swipe up/down/right/left in the assembled photo, I can't move the prospective like I've seen on youtube: the saved photo is a simple photo, with deformed images (I hope You understand what I mean ..).

What should I do to get a correct "photosphere"?

thanks in advance

You have to go to gallery(Android Gallery , not MIUI) and wait for a seconds that the photo is creating.
Then you can share by google+ .

I have one similar problem. The new camera works well, and when i finish with the pano a progress bar indicates me the pano is being made but...when I open the pano with the new gallery I just see a snapshot of the pano, but I can move the image.

Moreover I erased the miui camera, can I reinstall it again?

Copy the MIUI gallery app from the zip file of your phone ROM to system/app folder and set permissions like you did before. And reboot
