I had this issue since 12.5. Just upgraded to MIUI 13. The issue still persists.

In MIUI's built-in gallery app, at some point, "screenshot" folder disappeared. And was replaced by "Screenshots and Screen recording".
In this folder there is only Screen recordings. No screenshots at all.
Screenshots however do shows up in "All photos". And I can still find them through the use of file explorer apps, and third-party gallery apps.

Update:
After I made this post, all my screenshots appeared in the ''Screenshots and screen recording folder''. I had no idea what happened in between.

However I also noiced that the app has been reluctant to scan new images. Which means a freshly taken screenshot / saved image won't appear in Gallery, until next reboot.

I'm facing the same issue although in my case clearing app data fixes the issue temporarily. After leaving the Gallery app, album disappears completely even though it's still shown in Other albums theoretically.
It never comes back no matter what. I've been facing this issue on my Mi10 Lite 5G since 12.1.

This is still an issue in Miui 13.0.10 on my Mi 11 Ultra :(
Screenrecordings are added to Gallery-Album, screenshots show up in "All Images" but not in an album...

Could you consider repacking fix into current release? The next release maybe 2 to 3 months.

Eventhough the newest weekly (22.4.21) mentions a fix for this issue this bug still persists on my Mi 11 Ultra. Is there something I should have done after updating to fix this or should this fix apply itself? (and is therefore not working in my specific case)

We use the same Gallery app on all ROMs. On Mi 10, I have the "Screenshots and screen recordings" album just fine and all of my screenshots are in there.
If you already saved screenshots, they might have ended up in DCIM/Screenshots. In that case, just move them all to Pictures/Screenshots.

Mmh, that's strange. I have my screenrecordings in Movies/Screenrecordings (showing up in the "Screenshots and Screen recordings" Album) and my Screenshots in Pictures/Screenshots. However the Screenshots are showing up in the preview of the other albums only. As soon as I click on other albums the screenshot-album is gone :( They however show in the "photos" overview when clicking on "all" instead of camera.
I've already tried cleaning the gallery-cache, stopping the app, removing all screenshots and creating new ones. Nothing seems to fix this problem for me.

I'm just unable to reproduce any of this. It's working correctly here.

I can't solve individual-user problems. We use the same app on all ROMs.
Is Xiaomi Cloud auto-backup active or something?
It might help others as well then? But sure, it's not the worst bug so no need to prioritize it over others.
No, Xiaomi Backup is deactivated/I'm not logged in into the Xiaomi-Account at all.
Oh and Google-Photos works just fine so that can be used as an alternative by anyone having the same issue.
