I didn't port control panel for GT-I9000 (yet), so I cannot say whether it will work on GT-I9000.

Based on your signature, do you port crespo for GT-I9000 or do you try control panel crespo to GT-I9000?FYI for now it doesnt work, ( Crespo one ) it causes bootloop, I can give you logcat if you want to
With more than 100 download of ControlPanelSuite_miuiandroid_crespo_jb-3.1.25-signed.zip and no one has reported bootloop, I assume that your bootloop is your device issue...

No, just saying, that crespo ( that is compatible with i9000 in many cases ) doesnt work on I9000
( But it's not enteded for )

If you just flash control panel crespo into your GT-I9000 ROM, then yes for sure you'll get bootloop because you completely replace GT-I9000's frameworks with the crespo one. The GT-I9000 ROM dev needs to 'port' / 'merge' the control panel changes into the crespo frameworks, so it is not just simply replace some files.No, just saying, that crespo ( that is compatible with i9000 in many cases ) doesnt work on I9000

No, but basically the tutorial for rom porting can be applied for all devices. Better wait for MIUI V5 since somehow Xiaomi promises a better support for porting rom.I know , but I was answering for KingSoft

control panel for gt-i9000 it's ready, you can get it.This would be so great, if you need any kind of help, just let me know
if you use multilang, dont forget always flash the control panel full package first.
