When i set to open google now on long press homebutton and long press the homebutton the screen freezes. I can unfreeze it with back or home. It happens with last weeks xiaomi.eu and with the latest. I do not know about versions before, but on current official global rom this does not happen. I hope this can get fixed.

Thanks, now it's work, but how to fix icon? because now it has awful icon of assistant.
I want too add.... very often and i dont know why.... and where i can found the reason, but google now on Long press homebutton automaticly switches to mi Assistent... Don't know why.... And then i got freeze.... from first post...

This is a temporary solution, but, at least in my case, the assistan changes to default after certain timethanks bro looking for this solution ..
I have the same issue with my mi5s. Before the last weekly update the configuration could be reseted by pressing the "X" which closes all apps
