Mi5 Rom Nougat With Samsung Gear S3

Hi guys,
Did someone notice that with this new rom nougat 6.12.15, it is impossible to connect a samsung gear S3 to a MI5 ?? when i open the gear app on the phone, it crashes and FC
Do you have a solution to make it work with the phone ??

Hi moyano, i don't know what to do, go back to android 6 maybe, without being sure that it will works !!

Good morning mate, indicate that I beat up yesterday many app combinations over the net etc etc and even modify the build.prop to fool the app.

But the conclusion is as follows:

CONCLUSION

SAMSUNG, FIT, GEAR S1, S2, S3, FIT 2, ETC FOR NOW SAMSUNG APP ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANDROID 7 NOUGAT AT LEAST WHAT I HAVE SEEN ON THE WEB AND I WITH TESTS OF DIFFERENT FORMS.

SOLUTIONS:

RETURN TO A ROM WITH ANDROID 6 OR PREVIOUS TO 7.

2º SAVE THE BRACELET UNTIL A COMPATIBLE APP COMES OUT.

Ok I don't want to go back to android 6, even the 7 works quite fine on my MI5, maybe I can wait a little for a while and save the bracelet till the compatible app goes out !!
I love this watch and don't want to send it back to Amazon !!

The stable of xiaomi.eu with android 7 came 8.1.7.0, I stay in the 8.1.6.0 that is still android 6 and I work here the clock.

If by some chance it works at some time the clock, warns to be able to go to android 7.

Is there any solution for this? I use stable of xiaomi.eu with android 7 came 8.1.7.0, but gear manager does not connect s3.
 
Somebody says for custom rom. Official Htc nougat android 7 is working well.
 
I try with the version you gave me but impossible to connect to the app
I can connect with BT on the phone but not with the gear app
I am on the 7.3.9 weekly update and not the global ??

Please hard reset your gear S2 and clear data of samsung gear app on your smartphone. By the way please download Samsung S plugin and Samsung accessory service in advance

i cant pair Gear s 3 with Mi5 :(

The first i installed the Gear App, app finded the watch but after click to connect button it displayes the popupp message "Download filed. Try again." I checked the Gear app all permissions, all of them is "Accept".

I tried pair with huawei honor, android 6. The Gear app informed, that need install S plugin and Samsung Accessory Service. Gear app worked very well.

So, i tried manually install to my Mi5 the needed software too.
I downloaded app, plugin and "Samsung Accessory Service". The app find the watch, but when i try to connect. Itt has some error and app is close. "Unfortunately, Samsung Gear has stopped."

Maybe i did something wrong? Please help me!

Not compatible with miui android 6 or 7 the last version of miui work is 8.1.6.0
 
Very good to all, I bring bad news.

I could no longer with the phone in version 8.1.6.0 due to problems I had, so I decided to skip to 8.2.2.0 since the clock, the samsung gear app and the complementary ones had been updated.

As to indicate that it still does not work, the gear app does forced closure in 8.2.2.0 with android 7.

Unfortunately I will stay here since I need it, I will have the wifi watch so I can collect other data but it gives me that it will not work and samsung does not want it to work for what it looks like ...

I do not know if @ingbrzy knows anything about this is not a rom thing, but I do not think so.

I updated to 7.4.27 developer ROM yesterday with the hope that I can use the latest Samsung Gear downloaded on Google Play. But, I'm wrong, it still stops working immediately when I opened. Hope somebody can fix it soon :(
