Mi11 Ultra - HyperOS ROM 1.02/1.03 - Redmi Buds 4 Pro - Poor Bluetooth Audio

Hello all,

since the migration from MIUI 14 Stable to the HyperOS 1.02 and lately 1.03 stable ROM the audio quality of my Redmi Buds 4 Pro has become very poor and noisy. The quality is comparable to an 8 Bit, low sample rate line. No clear and crisp audio as it was before under the MIUI 14 last ROM.

I was playing around in the developer settings for various Bluetooth bitrate / BT version and other related settings but none of those did improve the audio quality. Using teh buds with my laptop the sound is crisp and clear.

Turning off LDAC does not improve either.

Any ideas? Anyone else with similar BT audio issues since migrating to HyperOS?

You can use the "Bluetooth Codec Changer" app, it is available in Play Store. This app lets you set the codecs in your device and your headphones.
