EDL Method needs an authorized Xiaomi account. Those who have no authorized accounts cannot use this method. None of the Admins, sMods and Mods can help you to get an authorized account. Please visit Xiaomi Authorized Server Center.

Not looking for a fight. Just stating facts. If your phone was purchased through Xiaomi or an authorized reseller and it is under warranty, If you have the required documentation to prove you purchased the phone legally, the go to the Xiaomi Service Centre. If not, go see the crooks.

Let them take the phone.
Wait ten days.
And then pay 49€.
And of course find a phone for those 10 days without a phone.
Or make the thing online.
And pay 25€.
Maybe once done, if it is confirmed, flash your own ROM again with fastboot to make sure nothing wrong was installed on your phone.
All the discussion here does not answer the original question : if you brick your device and you ask one of those guys to bring it back to life and if they do with EDL, can you then flash another ROM to the phone ?

According to you, a service here in Italy ask for 60€ and ten days and does not guarantee the result, while with half the money and if it fails, it refunds 90%, I saved a €1000 phone... with original fastboot firmware I had just downloaded in half an hour in remote. To answer the thread's question, now I wait a week and unlock the bootloader, then install twrp and the latest Xiaomi.eu firmware...
