I had an issue with my phone and more precisely my microphone. When talking on the phone people on the other side of the call could hear wind, tree branches and what not, so basically they could barely hear me and that caused a real problem. I searched everywhere for a solution to this problem, but apart from a lot of people having the same problem as me none had found a solution. At first I thought the problem had to do something with the speaker or with the microphone itself, but it turned out that wasn't the deal.

How to fix the problem:
If you put pressure with your finger on the back of the phone at the area on the right corner below the cameras the "wind" dissapears. If you get tired from the holding your finger everytime you speak there is only one solution. To permanently remove the weird sounds when speaking you first have to open the back cover of the phone and after opening it you need to put some kind of an insulating material with a thickness around 2-3mm and it has to be soft on the NFC part ( shown on the picture below). After doing this my issue with the blowing wind was gone.

If this solution worked for you and you feel satisfied you could show me some support.

Hi! I have your same problem and tried multiple times with this pressure system and I think you have found the solution! Now do you have some issues with the payments after insulating the NFC? What kind of material did you use? Could you please evidence me in the photo where did you put the insulating material? I cannot find the spot. Thanks in advance

I solved my issue by removing a screw off the camera lens cap.
When I unscrewed it just a bit the "wind noise" stopped, but the screw wasn't in all the way, it wasn't holding the cap anyway, so I took it out.
Maybe the screw itself was making contact with electrical components underneath??...
Look in the attached pic.
Was worried that additional material could detach back cover because of the pressure...so I left it empty.

BTW my phone fell many times over the 3 years of use, so maybe the board shifted because of fall damage, who knows...

Thank you Nokk_

I don't use NFC to pay and honestly can't tell if it does. The material is a soft and insulating as shown in the picture, can't really explain what it is since I don't know myself, but I think that any material applied would work as long as it is thin enough and soft.

Thanks for the reply! I would advice you to use my method as it is safer, because removing the screw could/will result in the camera lens falling or else. I really hope my solution will work for you as it did with me. Received your support, appreciate it a lot mate, have a good day/night!

Hi to all. First of all thanks for the tips and sorry for my english. I have the same issue, and of course my phone falls a lot of times in the last 3 years. Probably the PCB is a little bit displaced. I first tried the finger push method and works... But pushing every time you talk .

I watched a few videos of how to open the phone, and I found the task affordable to my skills, but difficult for an amateur.

So... I was thinking in the method of alexis1982 of hitting back the phone... AND WORKS!! ☺️.

I took my phone and hitted a high density foam. The part of the phone hitting the surface was the opposite to the place where the cameras are. It's really an ideal surface, because it has a good density but is soft, like silicone, and that's why I tried the method. It's the protective pad of a heat transfer press for make t-shirts (that's my work) but I'm pretty sure you can find a similar surface, like a folded mousepad to try it.

I hit the phone with just a little strong... 3 or 4 times. Then I record a message and it works like the first day. Really!

I hope I can help. I record it in video and I will publish it. I did it in spanish, but I'll try to dub a version into english too.

It worked!

Hello, lets try look to the YouTube. Problem with Wind effect can be caused by audio chip what is partely unsoldered. This chip Is in the place where you push to the phone ( near to camera) . Problem can be solved thanks resolvering by hot air.
Good Luck! I will to try it in few days.

Thank you. It worked for me too. I placed a strip of foam tape inside the phone's back cover, somewhere to the right of the camera module, covering one of its screws. The tape is roughly 1.2mm thick, and size is roughly 10mmx40mm. Then I closed the cover. However, the mic was still on-and-off occasionally.

I added two extra pieces of tape, outside of the back cover but inside my phone case. This resulted in a slight bludge of the phone case when I pressed the phone back into the case. This seems to add extra pressure to the area and now it is working pretty well.

I watched this youtube video, which showed the location of the audio chip, it is housed inside an insulating metal cover, which honestly looks pretty rigid, but any how, I guess it didn't protect itself from loosening.

Thanks so much, brother, for your input. I took out the screw and now it's functioning perfectly! Thanks again.
