Flashed and nothing changed.
I'm on 3.2.3-0
Can i install newer twrp from just flashing zip through old twrp?
I'm on 9.3.28 xiaomi eu rom.

xda users confirmed... TWRP was the reason, that it didn't work
with TWRP 3.2.3-0214 for Mi8 it worked for them too

Nope, settings apk just disappears. No lockscreen, no security.. Nice catch if you find a phone.. Delete settings apk by adb and you are in...lol

then u can try it yourself manually,

extract my script with the png files (Winrar)

start twrp, mount system, use twrp filemanager

copy your MiuiSystemUI.apk and Settings.apk to /SDCard/
(system\priv-app\MiuiSystemUI\ and \system\priv-app\Settings\)

copy them to your PC, open with Winrar and just replace the 5 png files in each apk
winrar automaticlly saves the new apk, then copy both apks back

The other q. how I can dim aod? I want to use stock one but it display clock etc. With Max brightness.
Is there any option to dim it?

for me it is just the first 5-10minutes with full brightness,
then it dims the screen... after another 20-30 minutes (I do not know exactly now)
the AOD turns off.

update TWRP to 0214 or 0401... then it works

Just for the sake of it, the Mod works fine with 4.11 and newer, so it was a glitch with 3.28 only

Hey, uuum.. I just wanted to know if there's any way to prevent the AOD from turning off in the dark. It's really annoying, I kinda need it to stay on during the night, but xiaomi doesn't seem to care about it... Isn't there any way to make it use the proximity sensor instead of the light sensor?
