Mi 11 Lite 5G (renoir) 90Hz not working (12.5.2)

Did anyone experience this with Mi 11 Lite 5G (renoir)? I set 90Hz in the Settings app, but it does not actually switch to 90Hz, I turned on "Show refresh rate" in the Developer Options to confirm.
I'm on 12.5.2, but it does not work on 12.5.3 either. Should I post in the "Bugs" section about this?

I have a similar problem. Mi 11 lite 5G - Miui 12.5.3
I have selected 90Hz, but after several days the screen starts working at 60Hz even though 90Hz is still selected, the only way to get it back to 90Hz is by restarting the mobile phone. Changing from 90 to 60 and back to 90 does not work, you need to reboot. Does anyone know what happens? Thanks.

You can force the display to run selected refresh rate by using terminal with root or pushing via adb shell (but you need a pc)
Run these commands

settings put system min_refresh_rate 90
settings put system user_refresh_rate 90
settings put system peak_refresh_rate 90
