MI 10 Pro rom with dual sim

Hi,

I have a mi 10 pro which is currently on MIUI global13.0.3.0 Stable....i read that if you buy a dual sim card holder which i have done and flash the EU rom it will give you dual sim capability....please can someone confirm this is true? Not bothered about both sims being on at same time, just want second sim as a data back up for tethering when first sim has no signal.

Also could someone point me to a decent guide on how to flash the rom to the phone please? And is it realtively easy to do?
