Good day.
I have a problem with Mi 10 Pro. I wanted to install Xiaomi.eu but something is going wrong.
I unlocked the bootloader, flast TWRP twrp_cmi.img to device.
Then I boot in TWRP and do a factory reset.
Next I click "Istall" and file with rom.
When finish - i click "wipe davlik/cache".

When the device restarts, I see the Mi logo for a moment, then turn off.

I do not know what to do...

In previous phones I had no problem (Mi Max 2, Mi 9t Pro).

Plese help!

You need to format and reinstall the rom

Can you provide a link to the guide step by step with links to what to download?

Quick question, did you actually wait for it to boot?

assuming you did the following:
"Format data" in twrp
Flash rom
Flash magisk (optional)
Reboot

it is normal for the phone to take a while to boot. And seeing a black screen is also normal do that and wait like 5 minutes (feels like ages i know) and then you should see the miui and 5g colored logo

Of course I was waiting :)
This is not the first time I upload xiaomi.eu (it was already on Redmi 4x, Redmi 6, Mi Max 2, Mi 9t Pro ...).
Only that for the first time so far it was necessary to do "format data".

In the guide on Miui Polska I did not find information about the need to format data - and that's probably why the problem occurred.

I'm just surprised that there is a newer version available (Miui 12) than here.

if twrp cannot decrypt your data and you flash something it won't boot. that's why the first time you have to format data.
also when you go to twrp it will ask you for your lockscreen code which is used for decryption, if you skip that and don't enter the code it also won't be able to decrypt the data

The version available on miui polska is also 20.5.24 they even link to the same files from xiaomi eu

@mini21

Do you have the Chinese variant of the Mi 10 Pro?
I had the exact same issue and had to revert to the latest stable Miui 11

No, I had the EU version with a slot for 1 sim card.
In the guide I used there was a command to type in fastboot - formatting memory that just didn't work.
When I did it manually - all worked.

"Format data" after installing twrp

Hello fellow Xiaomi.eu fans!

It looks like I'm struggling to install miui.eu on my new umi (Mi10).
I have unlocked it today with the official unlock tool.

I saw a few guides on how to install, but all of them failed for me. (I looked here in the forums, also on xda and googled a bit as well)
Most of the guides suggested that you should FORMAT data not just wipe it before the installation.

Well, I did that. I tried:
- Installing the official Global rom --> install twrp via fastboot --> format data --> reboot recovery --> copy zip and install xiaomi.eu rom --> reboot
- Installing the official Global rom --> install twrp via fastboot --> reboot recovery --> copy zip and install xiaomi.eu rom --> format data --> reboot

So basically I tried formatting the data partition before and after the zip installation, as one guide suggested this, and another one that.

None of them worked.
Also, I tried the same process with different recoveries:
TWRP-3.4.1b-0218 --> for this I installed a vbmeta.img file as well as the guide suggested
twrp-umi-3.3.1-4
twrp-umi-3.4.0-5

No matter what I do, I always get back to the recovery after a reboot.
Do you have any suggestions?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks and good luck with your installs!

You're probably making some confusion.
Xiaomi's official global roms (with tgz extension to be unzipped with Winzip or Winrar in your Pc ) can and must be installed only with the Mi flash application via PC (cell in Fastboot mode).
Modded roms (like Xiaomi Eu with zip extension not to be unzipped but fully copied to the cell) must be installed only through TWRP on the mobile phone.

it's actually pretty simple.
you install twrp in fastboot via
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <image.img>
boot to recovery
format data from wipe menu
install xiaomi.eu ROM zip
reboot

note:
in case you did something else and messed up something:
use xiaomi flashtool and install a xiaomi stock rom (called fastboot rom) and then do the above

Yes, I know this. I needed to re-flash the global rom via mi flash after each attempt, because of twrp bootlooping.
Then, I reinstalled twrp via fastboot. Then I tried to format data and install xiaomi.eu from twrp.
Since then I also tried TWRP-3.4.1b-3013 as well, with the same result: twrp bootloop after xiaomi.eu zip install.

Bro start process .reinstall global rom and lock bootloader to Fix all.them unlock boot and reinstall twrp and install xiaomi.eu ROM .

I tried this as you suggested.
clean all and lock -> flashed official global rom
unlocked the bootloader again
installed twrp again
format data
installed xioami.eu miui 12 stable for mi10
twrp bootloop...
I'm quite lost at this point.

The link refers to the MI 10 and he has an MI 10 Pro.
So you put him in trouble

I thought he had mi 10, I see that he didn't answer either
for the mi 10 pro.
Thank you

Hey guys,

Thank you for your help! I'm running miui 12 stable now.
Sorry for not answering, I didn't have time to try things out.
What I did differently this time is that I didn't actually install twrp.
I just booted into twrp from fastboot, installed the xiaomi.eu rom and wiped dalvik/art cache after the install.
Then I selected boot into system but it booted into the standard miui recovery, where I wiped the data partition.
After this, it actually booted in properly. :)
I think twrp couldn't format the data partition for me for some reason I couldn't find out.

Thanks again!

Hi All.
I have problem again.

Something wrong will going on when i install a update (magisk not work) and i want back to to the previous rom.

When I tried to make a format, I got a message:
Failed to mount "/data" (Success).

When I Want to Wipe only data - is the same.
When I want to Repair and change the /data film system to other - the same information.

Now I dont know what have to do.

the best way is to return stock flashing the fastboot rom image, than install the TWRP via fastboot, than format data un recovery and finally flashing the Eu rom zip
