I have seen the issue with the wallpaper carousel as well - it just stop functioning. Looking at the logcat you can still see the an event being raised to trigger the wallpaper change but nothing happens. This even happens on stock ROM (MIUI 9 and MIUI 10), and appears to be an issue when you change launchers. If you want your wallpapers to work again simply switch back to the default launcher and things work again. There must be some process that the Xiaomi launcher creates that listens to the event which triggers the wallpaper app to change the wallpaper.

That said the EU version appears to be missing the new overlay on the lock screen to trigger the lock screen "view in place". This used to be on the lockscreens "quick menu" (the menu you get to when you slide right on the lock screen). In MIUI10 it is now located on the main lock screen itself to the right if the clock. Clicking this button would trigger a change on the lockscreen showing an explanation of the picture on the lockscreen and allowing you to swipe left or right..

Cheers
Keep up the good work on the ROM

That's exactly right. Wallpaper Carousel is tied to MIUI launcher. Using it with other launchers is not supported.

And there is no access to Wallpaper Carousel from the lock screen on Xiaomi.eu ROMs. This is by design.

Thanks for the information, I was also curious what region did the wallpaper pull from for the different sceneries, India region seems to be more limited then the EU ROM, I checked and saw that EU was set to pl, is that Poland?

Thanks again

Nope, we have developed a multi-regional variant of the Themes app. It uses India region channel for Themes, Ringtones and Fonts, but uses China region channel for Wallpapers and Video Wallpapers. The Chinese channel is being auto-translated to your system's language in real time, also something we've developed. The Chinese channel is way better than the Indian one, that's for sure.
