Last Stable (truly Stable) For Xiaomi Mi2s ?

Latest global stable so English-chinese but without Chinese bloat ware (but I use miui.it version of it).
No greenify, just kernel auditor and root

Actually 9.2.3 Is based on china stable. I wish there Was an active miui.es to get spanish :(

How Is battery life withoutmiui optim and with mpdecision? Thought i'd drain like crazy

In on 9.2.3.0 and it's a solid performer. Miui has work to do with expandable notifications but is overall a smooth experience. Disabled mpdecision and miui optimization.
Oreo aosp is far from daily imho

How can I disable mpdecision? I found only MiUi optimization in Development Settings.

Hi all.

I have a Xiaomi Mi2 with a very old software installed (WIUI (not MIUI) 4.8.29). I think that the software is so old that it has still the old partitioning of the internal memory. If I wanted to updated to the latest software available for Mi2, what steps should I take? Thank you for your help.

You must flash via fastboot a MiUi with lastest partition layout or flash @M1cha script. Backup all your data if needed!
After that you can flash twrp and flash multilanguage rom.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I found the MiFlash tool from this website: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
From the very same website, I can download the latest stable build which is: V9.2.3.0.LXACNEK_20171229.0000.00_5.0_cn_c54a41d74c.tgz
From the name of the file, I might guess the the version of MIUI is 9.2 of the 29/12/2017. Is that correct?
However, I cannot understand on the xiaomi.eu site what the latest global version of the firmware is. It seems that there is no equivalent global firmware of the V9.2.3.0. Is that correct?

All correct, xiaomi.eu didn't port lastest stable rom for this device.

I tried to flash the fastboot rom. But it does not seem to work properly. The system says me "flash done" after just one second. But now that I try to switch on the phone it goes directly to fastboot mode. I tried to flash an old firmware, but it does not work because it says that a partition is missing. Any suggestion?

Thank you very much. The procedure worked. I installed the firmware version that you reported as the latest one available on xiaomi.eu in post #4 of this thread.
As far as I understood, the global version of Xiaomi and the multi-language version available on xiaomi.eu are two different things. Newer firmware versions for mi2 are available only from Xiaomi as global version. Is this correct? Do you know what their differences are?

Some suggestions that might be useful to other people attempting the procedure.
The key point to have the procedure working is using the (older) MiFlash Tool signaled there (MiPhone20151028.exe). The flashing does not work with newer versions of the MiFlash tool. Most of the links to files in that post are broken. To retrieve the files signaled in the post it is sufficient to substitute "obigota.d.miui.com" with "bigota.d.miui.com" in the links.

I don't know exactly differences between xiaomi.eu stable and global stable.
The only difference I know is that mi2 global stable have only English and Chinese language, I think.

Believe me, with the bugs of the v9 on the Mi2S, you don't want a xiaomi eu version of it. ;)
I would stay with the v8.1.2

I agree with you, this is precisly the reason I want it. for now I am on the dev release that is, let's say, "problematic". I think that the stable one will be more stable...
I don't think we can downgrad from miui 9 to 8, and I don't go to take the risk... :-/

Well, the sound bug is still existent in the v9 stable if you talk about that. So there aren't any improvements on this site if it's what you meant...
I already tried all ROMs (v9 beta, v9 stable, Mokee Nougat, windbells Oreo) and now finally downgraded to stable MIUI v8.1.2, which runs like a charm. Downgrading is generally possible if you have TWRP recovery, you just have to make a backup of your data. :)

Are you referring to MIUI v8.1.2 or to MIUI v8.2.1? I have installed v8.2.1 few months ago and it has a lot of bugs (sound not working porperly, tethering not working, some issues with receiving Whatsapp messages, etc.)

If you installed MIUI v8.1.2 and everything is working ok, could you please link the file of the ROM? Thanks.
