Is the bootloader unlock for Xiaomi 15 doable?

Finally managed
I still gotta wait 72 hours though, but I'm just glad I got the damn permission.
Actually, you didn't get the permission (you can go to community and check it) but link your device with account. But as I sad before you don't need get permission to unlock. Now, 90% you'll unlock your phone. Congrats

Is there any way of overcoming the situation when you get application quota limit reached every time you try to unclock the bootloader? Any superman here that can tackle this kryptonite?

Hi everybody,

My friend has received my Xiaomi 15 order, and I will be picking up my phone on April 9th. Is there anything I can ask him to do to save time for unlocking the bootloader? I’ve read all of your feedback, but I’m a bit confused because I’ve seen contradictory information.

Does he need to install the Mi Community app on his phone and request the bootloader unlock? I’ve read that it can be done from another phone.
Thanks for your feedback. If I can save 7 days, that would be a bonus.

I would like a free solution for now, as the phone has already cost quite a bit.
Do I need to insert a SIM card into the phone? (Someone mentioned earlier that it's recommended to use cellular network instead of Wi-Fi.)
if yes would it be a problem if it's his SIM card and can the SIM card be removed once the process is complete, or does it need to stay in the phone?
I see videos on YouTube about the Xiaomi 15 using Mi Unlock. Is that incorrect?
Thank you for your responses!

Hi, I just received 15 ultra today here in the UK. Community app says quota reached bla bla. I opened developer options, ticked OEM unlocking and on mi unlock status, added account and it says binding successful. Does this mean I can download mi unlock tool and unlock the bootloader or do I still have to use the community app? I don't have access to a PC until I get home from work or I'd try it now.

Is there any way to bypass the 65 hour wait they've given me? Taken the last two hours to figure out getting a OTP to come through via text message!

No, you have to wait until the allotted time expires.
The countdown has started (usually 65h). Now do not touch the MI account on the device in any way !!
- If you have timed out, continue with the steps:
Step 1. Run the Mi Unlock app on PC and sign in with your Mi account;
Step 2. Shut down your phone manually, and hold Volume down key and Power button to enter Fastboot mode;
Step 3. Connect your phone to PC using USB cable and click "Unlock". (All user data will be deleted)

Important:
Now do not touch the xiaomi account on your mobile in any way (do not log out or try to log in again).
