In Boot Loop after receiving a MUI update and unable to Wipe Data in Fast Boot

I accepted a recent OS update and my Note 12 Pro 5g restarted fine. A day later, whilst on charge overnight the phone was displaying errors on the home screen and was unresponsive. I powered it off and it came back in Boot Loop. I got into Fast Boot and tried Safe Mode without any success so tried Wipe Data. This goes about 10% through the process and then says unable to continue and I'm back to Boot Loop.

What SW do I need to connect the device to my PC and fix my phone? Thanks

Correction, my typo, it's an 11 Pro+ 5G. But, assuming it's the same question, how would I connect to it in Fastboot to enter and cmds? What would I need to use on my Windows PC?

follow this to setup your PC for using fastboot with the drivers.

Installing Xiaomi drivers for PC.

1. Download Miflash to PC 2, unzip the file into a folder 3, run Miflash "XiaoMiFlash.exe" 4, connect the device to the PC in fastboot mode (hold the "Volume Down and Power" buttons at the same time) 5, click the "drivers" box 6, click install 7, done...

"Install drivers, ADB and fastboot" is the thing that you need to do after you got the drivers installed.

to enter fastboot turn off phone, hold vol - and power button together.

then you can open cmd by pressing windows key and R at the same time, type in cmd
then the cmd should open where you can type in fastboot commands.

I assume you dont have your bootloader unlocked, which means you probably cant factory reset it over that way.

what ROM were you on before? like in what region?
