I use Holo Launcher for this

No, it's an app I used in my work, and to avoid children s mess up I want hidden it.

Yes it can't be used as long as its disabled in options. If an app is disabled then it can't be launched from desktop.

Disabling is not a very elegant solution to hiding the app tho is it?
How about if you use another launcher, change the name and logo and enable privacy for that app to prevent unauthorised use?
