Hi all

I have a Mi11 ultra, boot loader unlocked, TWRP installed and (was) running weekly xioami EU rom.

I factory reset my phone which lead me to being locked out, until i input my MI account details.
The phone will not accept the verification number sent by Xiaomi no matter how carefully or many times I try.

- I know my mi account number
- I have access to my linked email address

I contacted Xiaomi support today, they have told me that I may need to send in my device to be reset by the the Xioami techs.
My problems is that it runs the Xioami EU rom... not their global or Chinese rom.

Im just seeing what my options are at this point, will they reject the repair?

The attachment shown is exactly my issue but it not my image

OR

Will I need to use the Mi unlock tool ?

I still can access fast boot and TWRP recovery

The attachment shown is exactly my issue it is my device.

thanks

So the second button on the screen shot lets you connect your wifi, did you complete that first?

Just open the Xiaomi Global Site, Reset your account password and include your email if you didn't yet.
After that try to login again in your device and if it doesn't work Factory Reset it and start the setup again.

HI thanks for your input, I have tired changing my password a few times now already... I can log into my MI account using my password and phone number or email on my PC but I cannot unlock my phone with the very same details.

what happens is the following...

-I see my locked phone black screen,
-i open wifi setting and connect to my home wifi
-I then press activate device button
-enter my password (original, changed etc...)
-I get to the next screen the account verification screen I can select verify from email address or phone number.
- Either one can be selected and a code is given via text or email
But the code never works no matter how many times I try.

One thing i did notice that is really odd, Is that my Mi account number I can see on the global site page is different from the one Xioami quote when sending the verification code.

The phone was bought new and im the only person to have owned it, so Im really not certain what is going on.

I was thinking I could send for repair at from where I bought the phone from (Trading Shenzhen)

Has anyone been successful in a similar scenario to me?

I love my phone and it such a bummer to think its had it!

cheers and thanks for the help

U just need to login into your mi account via computer and search for device under account and remove it. Then your mi 11 ultra will be able to bootup without the account lock screen.
